Preparation for session
BOOKING FOR SCENE WORK IN PAIRS REQUIRES YOU TO CO-ORDINATE WITH EACH OTHER AND NOMINATE ONE OF YOU TO TO BOOK AND PAY FOR A SCENE STUDY PAIR BOOKING. WE HOPE THIS WILL AVOID THE POSSIBILTY OF OVER-BOOKING!
Actors should work in pairs, so two will decide to work together and sign up! Numbers will be limited to 3 pairs / scenes (6 actors) in the morning session and 4 pairs / scenes (8 actors) in the afternoon session. This is in order to give everyone sufficient time to work in depth. Scenes should be up to 10 minutes in length – no longer. Material from wherever you like -whatever your passions are! We hope that you will treat the session like the first time off- book in rehearsals, but it you need to hold your script then please feel free, so that it’s not just a memory test, but be very familiar with the scene. If you can it would be useful to give us a heads-up a couple of days beforehand as to your material and even better if you could email the scene! Email to: sessions@jbat.co.uk
The venue should be open at 9.30am so please arrive in good time to do whatever you need to be ready. Then we can start promptly at 10am
Charges/billing
Each session is £100 per pair of actors (£50 per actor) payable in advance by Debit / Credit Card. Book your space via the form below.
Refunds policy
We understand that there may be circumstances where you may have to cancel – illness or getting a job, for example.
48(+) hours notice . Full refund
24 hours notice. Half refund
Not turning up (we are sure this won’t happen!) No refund!
For classes with solo work – if you can’t attend we are happy for you to find someone who would like to take your place.
For scene exploration in pairs we realise that there are two actors involved and that you may have done some preparation together, so it may be inappropriate to find a sub.
Let us know if you would both like to re-book when we are running the class again.
