Repetition with Technique with John Beschizza

Repetition, independent physical activities and emotional preparations constitute the three main basic elements of The Meisner Technique and so in this class you’ll engage with a series of exercises in which independent activities, imaginary circumstances and high stakes are introduced in order to divert your attention away from yourself and on to what you are doing. You’ll learn how to deepen your involvement in specific physical activities whilst working under imaginary circumstances as well as developing responsiveness, spontaneity, inner truth and trust in both yourself and the things you are connected to.

Each exercise progresses from the last fostering an ever deepening sense of truth and belief in the imaginary circumstances and personalised relationships, building step-by-step into an approach to acting that has imagination, spontaneity, truth and specificity at its heart.

THIS CLASS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWELVE HOURS OF REPETITION CLASSES UNDER YOUR BELT TO PARTICIPATE.
