Music has a powerful effect on our inner lives. More than spoken language alone, music can awaken deep feelings and connected physical responses that are essential for an actor to have access to.
This class offers an approach to awakening and sensitising our emotional and physical responses to music and song – allowing it to move our inner lives without assumption, or anticipation. Surrendering to the sounds, vibration, beat, rhythm, and tempo of the music we allow it to work both on us and through us. As the exercise progresses, powerful and fruitful emotional responses may awaken, expanding our capacity to feel at depth whilst actively engaging with an Imaginary Orchestra.
**Requirements: Not a class for absolute beginners – you must be proficient in repetition & a studio member to take part in this class.
